New wave of cash-insured e-transactions

A new wave of electronic transactions was announced yesterday by the Minister of Labor, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, speaking yesterday at an event for the improvement of the service of the citizens. It is worth noting that these interventions, both completely new and those that are an extension of previous ones, are a “pilot” for the entire State.

The Prime Minister himself, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, closing yesterday’s event of the Minister. Of Labor, announced in advance a single telephone line – such as the one that operates for the structures of the Ministry of Labor (1555), for the entire State.

Specifically announced:

Enhancing cooperation EFKA-OAED-OPEC with KEP by increasing transactions.

In total, that is, 139 transactions of insured – KEP have now passed exclusively to the digital “world” of e-EFKA.

It is recalled that 272 e-EFKA procedures which were processed through KEP had been found under a “regime” of re-evaluation.

Consequently, another 133 procedures for the insured remain in the “hands” of KEP. Reliable sources of Capital.gr from the funds note that they will remain in the existing “regime”, ie they will not leave the “hands” of KEP as, based on can not be passed exclusively to the digital “world” of e-EFKA.

– Expansion of myEFKAlive throughout Greece and creation of myOPEKAlive for OPEC services.

MyEFKAlive has been launched gradually since last summer. MyOAEDlive is already up and running. MyOPEKAlive will also be created.

– Extending pension cases for certified accountants and lawyers.

Based on the existing “regime”, certified individuals deal with cases of main pensions from one fund (eg only IKA or only OAEE, etc.). insurance, but also supplementary pensions

-Completion of tender for extension of operation 1555 for 30 months.

In other words, 1555 will operate for another 2.5 years.

– Creation of a “Digital communication room” EFKA – waiting for retirees.

At the end of April – beginning of May there will be relevant announcements. It is a platform for distance communication between EFKA and insured persons seeking pension, in order to facilitate the submission of the relevant application.

Exclusively electronic services of EFKA, OPEC and OAED.

In OAED 90% of the services “run” electronically, while in EFKA 60%, said the Minister. Working. Information from Capital.gr states that in OPEC 50% of the services are covered electronically. The goal of the government is for all the services of the above bodies to “run” only electronically.

The most important actions for the upgrading of the service of the citizens

The main actions that the Ministry of Labor has already “run” are the following:

-New service number 1555.

All citizens can now call for free, 24 hours a day and with a minimum waiting time for employment, pension, insurance and social issues. Already in the first 8 months of operation it served more than 1.7 million calls from citizens, with 8 out of 10 saying they are satisfied with the level of service.

More than 200 electronic services from EFKA, OAED and OPEC and the Ministry of Labor.

Most were developed from 2019 onwards. Over 260 million transactions have been made in the last 2.5 years.

-Online appointments.

The measure started to be applied at the beginning of the pandemic and was maintained afterwards, removing the queues at the counters of EFKA and OAED and facilitating the daily lives of millions of citizens, as well as employees. To date, more than 3.8 million electronic appointments have been made at EFKA, OAED and OPEC.

-MyFKAlive services and myOAEDlive.

This service concerns the remote service of the citizen through a video call by an employee of the Institutions. Particularly useful to residents of remote mountainous or island areas or disabled fellow citizens, etc. Over 12,000 teleconferences in the last 8 months.

-Use of the services of EFKA, OPEKA and OAED and through KEP.

This cooperation has already served over 1 million citizens. More than 2.5 million transactions through KEP.

-Upgrading the websites of both the Ministry and the Institutions with a corresponding enhancement of the promotion of the digital services.
