New world record: A 37-year-old South African woman gave birth to δυ ten

The world record multiple pregnancies seems to have shot down a woman from her South Africa as, according to reports, she gave birth to ten babies. Her husband Gosiame Tamara Sitjole states ecstatic with the tithes as the ultrasound had identified “only” eight fetuses.

“There are seven boys and three girls. I am happy and excited. “I can not say much,” said the husband Tempo Tsotetsi speaking to Pretoria News. Of course, we are also waiting for the formal confirmation of the number of newborns, as a South African official confirmed the births to the BBC, but another stated that at the moment he has not seen if the newborns are really 10, which is a world record.

A relative of the family also stated that Sitjole had ten children, five by normal delivery and five by caesarean section. The Guinness World Records are on hold and if confirmed, they are considering the case in order to give the South African the title of woman with the most versatile childbirth in history.

The 37-year-old, who still has a set of twin children, now six, admitted that despite the leg pain, the pregnancy was not particularly painful.

At present, however, the title is held by 25-year-old Halima Cisse from Mali brought to the world nine babies, which according to the BBC are growing well in a clinic in Morocco.
