In addition to the fireworks, organized by the City Hall, the hotels in the Rio de Janeiroo promote the most luxurious parties in the city with drinks, DJs, buffet and, of course, the most desired view: the fireworks show on Copacabana beach, with 16 minutes.
At the classic Copacabana Palace hotel, occupancy is already at 100% and accommodation will have two types of supper for the night.
One will be offered at the Michelin-star Italian restaurant, while in another option, guests can enjoy the buffet by the pool. The party in the hall is already sold out.
In another hotel Copacabana, the Othon Palace, will be three parties. The penthouse will be the space for the sophisticated New Year’s Eve dinner. On the third floor, an 80’s-style party is scheduled.
And on the first floor of the hotel, the VIP area will feature a DJ, live music and samba school drums. About 500 people are expected to attend events at Othon. Only the first floor celebration has tickets available at the moment.
With a privileged view of the Copacabana beachfront and Sugarloaf Mountain, the Fairmont Hotel will offer a varied buffet that ranges from a mini patisserie to an oyster station in Santa Catarina.
Musical and DJ performances are planned. A second hotel party will be held on the sands of Copacabana. Both celebrations are already sold out. With a reduced audience due to the pandemic, the Fairmont will receive 350 people.
The value of invitations to parties at the hotels on the Copacabana shore range from R$660 to R$4,000, depending on the buffet chosen, and the drinks included.
The expectation is that the hotels will arrive at full capacity in the area. Currently, occupation in the city of Rio de Janeiro is 92%.
To stay or attend private parties in the city, it is necessary to present proof of vaccination against the Covid-19, by the requirements of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the latest survey by the National Confederation of Municipalities, 64.7% of Brazilian cities decided that they will not hold events of Christmas Eve open to the public. In 11% (292), the events are still confirmed and in 23.6% (627) the question is undefined.
