New York: attack in the subway

It was 2.30 pm Italian time when several people were injured in a New York subway station. The station is one of those in Brooklyn. The injured are at least 13, 5 would be hit by bullets, according to the agency Associated Press.

The New York Fire Department intervened after the smoke was reported at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park, where the D, N and R lines cross. There is at least one suspect, who has escaped. She wore a gas mask and an orange reflective vest.

The area has been limited and counter-terrorism teams are at work. NYPD says that no “active explosives” were found and look for witnesses to what happened.
