The New York authorities ordered the temporary closure of all living poultry markets in the American big city and in three state counties, after bird flu detection in seven markets last week. The closure mandate comes after authorities have identified another member of the birds of birds in the US, which has increased concerns about the current outbreak of the virus in the country. New York State Governor Katie Hotsul said the five -day shutdown would allow the cleaning and disinfection of markets in the city as well as in three counties – Westster, Safolk and Nassau – to prevent the disease.
