New York Fashion Week, an Autumn/Winter 2023 between great returns and new debuts

A little less than a month from the men’s and Haute Couture fashion shows, here is the New York Fashion Week is getting ready to warm up the engines, to start with a calendar full of events from 10 to 15 February. In fact, according to tradition, it is the Big Apple that inaugurates the Fashion Month between February and March, and although the program is always, all in all, more sober than that of the month of September, there are many names – historic, but also new talents – to make it particularly appetizing.

Opening the fashion week will be Kate and Laura Mulleavy from Rodarte, who return to the official calendar after showing in Los Angeles last year. Another great comeback is to Thom Browneone of the most awaited designers – as well as the new president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America – who will present his Fall/Winter 2023 collection on Valentine’s Day, together with other big names in US fashion such as Christian Cowan And Brandon Maxwell.

Like Thom Browne, who preferred the Parisian catwalks to the New York ones, the American too, surprisingly Heron Preston he decided to return to his homeland, parading for the first time in the New York Fashion Week calendar. Debut in the city that never sleeps also for Palomo Spain, and for one of the most anticipated new talents: Raúl Lopez. The creative director of Luar in fact, he recently won the award as Accessory Designer of the Year, and he will be the one to round off the fashion week. Lopez also collaborated with Stella Artois for the installation of a pop-up at the Faurschou gallery, focused on the pillars of the brand: not only fashion, but also music, art and family.

Great absent Tom Fordwho opted for a digital presentation, and Tommy Hilfiger. Marc Jacobs instead, he has already presented his collection for Fall/Winter 2023 off the official calendar, and with no less than an epic homage to Vivienne Westwood and its unforgettable legacy.
