The self-sacrifice of a student, who put his own life at risk, prevented it tragedy on the platform of a subway station in New York, where a man had found himself, under unknown circumstances, on his tracks train. The incident occurred approx at 6 in the morning of last Thursday.
The Greek American Bryce Dimopoulos (Bryce Demopoulos), a student at Cornell University and a resident of Roosevelt Island, got off at the 138th Street station (Thirld Avenue – 138 Street) with a friend in order to board the train. Descending, he saw a man standing on the tracks. Despite the fact that he did not know the time available to him, nor the moods of the patient, who was not in good condition, Bryce Dimopoulos jumped right into the lines and tried to bring him back to the dock immediately.

“I am still overwhelmed by the generosity, concern and innate kindness that can lead someone to put themselves in such danger to help another person. The danger is not only from the oncoming train.
