New York: The Supreme Court allows citizens to move around in public armed

The USA may be shocked by the recent massacres that have taken place in several parts of the country, such as Texas or the Buffalobut the US Supreme Court has given the right to its citizens New York to circulate armed in public.

According to Reuters, this court annulled a 1913 law on possession of weapons in New York and was not allowed to travel in public with a gun hidden on it. According to the judges’ reasoning, the law violates the American right to bear arms, as defined by the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

This decision, which received by a vote of 6 to 3comes at a time when the United States is still in the throes of bloody militant attacks, including one at a Texas elementary school that killed 21 young students and teachers.

So, The six conservative judges voted in favor of the decision and by the three progressives.

In fact, the ruling overturns the verdict of a lower court appealed to by two gun owners and the National Arms Union (NRA) branch in New York, a powerful lobby with ties to the Republican Party.
