The remains of two children found this month in two suitcases auctioned in New Zealand. According to the Police, their details will not be made public at the request of their family. The authorities have decided not to release any information that could lead to the identity of the two children being revealed, explained Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Vaaelua.
Police are still investigating these deaths. The macabre discovery was made by a family who bought several items two weeks ago, including two suitcases in online auction from Auckland warehouse.
The children were between five and ten years old, their remains having remained in the suitcases for some years. The family that found their remains is not connected to their death, APE-MPE reports, citing AFP.
On Monday, police in Seoul, South Korea, said they had located a woman believed to be the mother of the two children, who arrived in South Korea in 2018 and does not appear to have left the country since.
