New Zealand’s inflation expectations have accelerated further over the first quarter 2021 time horizon, according to the latest survey of monetary conditions conducted by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) on Tuesday.
Two-year inflation expectations, seen as the time frame in which the Bank of New Zealand’s monetary policy action will filter into prices, rose to 1.89% from 1.59% previously.
New Zealand Q1 1-year average inflation expectations increased to 1.73% from 1.23% observed in the last trimester.
