An unknown user purchased one of nine alien punks released in 2017 as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT).

NFT CryptoPunk 7804 cost the buyer 4200 ETH – $ 7.5 million at the time of writing.
There are nine alien punks in total, created long before the famous CryptoKitties. In January 2021, FlamingoDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization for investing in collectible digital items, acquired one of them for 605 ETH.
On Thursday March 11th, Christie’s sold Beeple’s NFT for $ 69.3 million, making the author of Everydays: The First 5000 Days one of the most valuable living artists.
Earlier, Twitter creator Jack Dorsey put up his first tweet for sale as a non-fungible token. Tron founder Justin Sun offered $ 2 million for it.
As a reminder, an NFT copy of Banksy’s burnt painting “Morons” went under the hammer for 228.69 ETH.
