Still new to the market, “non fungible tokens”, or NFTs, have attracted the attention of users. The security of the technology, however, still needs to be developed.
According to CySource’s cybersecurity expert, Luli Rosemberg, mechanisms are being studied to ensure the protection of users, using strategies such as counter-intelligence and preventive intelligence, in order to alert about possible flaws found in the systems.
He highlights that in older and more consolidated technologies, as with the most well-known cryptocurrencies, transactions are mostly secure. “They go through very fancy algorithms, which are very difficult to break. On the cryptocurrency side, specifically, there is firm security,” he said.
“In general, the biggest flaw is not in the technology, but in the human factor, which is responsible for about 96% of fraud cases in the cyber environment”, reiterated Rosemberg about protection in cryptocurrency transactions.
