NGO director in Gaza dies in Israeli attack, officials say

The director of the Independent Commission on Human Rights (ICHR) in Gaza, Raafat Salha, died after being hit by an Israeli airstrike earlier this week, officials reported.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza and another human rights group confirmed Salha’s death this Thursday morning (16).

According to the Al Mezan Human Rights Center, 12 members of the director’s family, including his wife and four children, were also killed in the offensive, which hit a house where they were sheltering in Deir al-Balah at 11:35 pm local time on Tuesday. fair (14).

Salha suffered serious head injuries and was transferred to Al-Aqsa hospital, where he died as a result of the damage.
