A woman doused Nigel Farage, the new leader of Britain's far-right Reform Party – and a thorn in the side of the Conservatives – with a soft drink on his first day of campaigning ahead of the July 4 general election. On Monday, Farage pulled off the biggest surprise of this election season when he announced he would lead the party and stand for a seat in the House of Commons. The move is seen as a blow to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Conservatives, who trail Labor by around 20 points, according to all opinion polls.
