At least 51 people died and more than 100 were injured during a fire in a nightclub in the city of Kochani, Northern Macedonia, according to the state media (Mia).
The country’s interior minister Panche Toshkovski announced the victims at a press conference on Sunday morning (16).
More than 80 of the injured were taken to hospitals and clinics in Skopje, the country’s capital, said Mia, while the country’s Minister Igor Filkov said that everyone involved in the tragedy will be held responsible.
The fire began at Kochani’s “Pulse” nightclub, local media said.
DNA, a pop group Macedonio, was performing at the nightclub on Saturday night (15), according to his Instagram account.
