The stepfather of a 10-year-old boy who was beaten to death inside the family apartment in Haarlem of New York was charged Sunday with homicide.
Ryan Cato, 34, has been charged with the murder of Ayden Wolfe, according to a New York Post report citing police sources.
The police officers they found the tragic boy at home with “heavy injuries” all over his body. Some were older and some new.
The child was unconscious when the police found him in the living room of the house. They took it to hospital of Haarlem, where he was pronounced dead. Neighbors described him as a “quiet little angel” who was rarely heard.
“I will never forget that,” one of the police officers who found the child told the newspaper. “This boy went through a lot. “It was not the first time, it was not something that happened yesterday.”
