Nike is suing the Satan Shoes maker, MSCHF over the recently launched controversial shoes. The shoes were launched by the Brooklyn art collective, MSCHF and were endorsed by the rapper Lil Nas X.
The Story of Satan Shoes
On Monday, MSCHF launched trainers called the ‘Satan Shoes’. The shoes contain a drop of human blood in their sole and have ignited a huge controversy due to the fact that the shoe design is satan inspired.
The trainers have a pentagon on the front, an inverted cross on the side and the words ‘Luke 10:18’, referring to the Bible. MSCHF made 666 pairs, selling for $ 1018 each.
They were endorsed by the American rapper Lil Nas X in his latest song vidoe, Call me by your name. The rapper appears to slide down a pole from heaven to hell wearing those shoes, referring to Luke 10:18, the verse from Bible that reads “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”.
Nike Sues the Shoe Maker
Nike Air Max 97s were modified to make those satanic sneakers. That is why the brand is now suing the maker for trademark infringement. Nike has stated that it does not endorse or support the satan inspired shoes. The brand has asked the New York court to stop MSCHF from using their trade mark.
