Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora said the crypto industry needs updated cybersecurity systems to protect against hacker attacks that are getting faster and more sophisticated.

Nikesh Arora, in an interview with CNBC correspondent Jim Cramer, said that all companies in the digital asset market need a modern, integrated cybersecurity system.

“Intruders began to act much faster than their victims. It used to take them days to break into systems and steal data, but now it can happen almost instantly. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the company is ready to repel a hacker attack within a few hours, not days,” said Arora.

He added that he sees the problem is not that companies lack cybersecurity service providers, but that their security infrastructure can consist of a complex set of disparate solutions that are not only obsolete, but also inconsistent with each other.

“It is critical for companies to put in place a number of activities to try and remedy this situation and be prepared to respond to threats in real time,” Arora said.

According to the Asia Today portal, citing South Korean law enforcement agencies, since 2015, North Korea has illegally seized more than $1.5 billion in virtual assets.
