Nikola expects to get first revenue this year

Electric truck maker Nikola, which has yet to start earning revenue from sales, said it expects to make between $90 million and $150 million this year. There will be no revenue in the current quarter, he specified.

The company, which is working to expand its plant in Coolidge, Arizona, delivered the first two electric trucks to Southern California trucking company TTSI in December as part of a three-month pilot program.

“In the fourth quarter, we began delivering pre-production Tre BEVs to customers and dealers and ramping up production at Coolidge,” Nikola CEO Mark Russell said in a quarterly report from the company.

“We expect series production of the Tre BEV to begin on March 21st,” he added.

The company expects to complete the expansion of the mentioned production in Coolidge in the first quarter of 2023. After expansion, the enterprise will be able to produce up to 20,000 trucks per year in two shifts.
