As part of the strategic and rapidly developing Greek-Egyptian relations, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will travel to Cairo on Monday, where he will hold talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Soukri, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
Following the one-on-one meeting between the two ministers, extended talks will take place. Afterwards, joint statements to the press are expected to take place, around 18:30. Discussions are expected to focus on deepening bilateral cooperation, the joint commitment of both countries to international law, including the Law of the Sea, developments in Ukraine after the Russian invasion, the Eastern Mediterranean, developments in the Middle East, and the Middle East. and sub-Saharan Africa, the statement said.
Finally, it is recalled that the Foreign Minister had visited Cairo several times, the last visit took place on July 13, 2021, while Sameh Soukri had gone to Athens on November 19, 2021, where he participated in the quadripartite Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and France.
