Nintendo has released a new game console – sounds epic, but unfortunately, we are not talking about the next generation of Switch, which the company promised to introduce in the next 80 years.
New is the fresh re-release of the legendary Game & Watch handheld console. Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. was released last year. Now comes Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda with three time-tested classics included: The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: Adventure of Link, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
The modern edition of Game & Watch boasts a color screen, USB Type-C charging and some other changes compared to the legendary “ancestor”.
In Russia, sales of Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda will begin on November 26 at a suggested retail price of RUB 4,999. In the US, the cost of new items is $ 50 and sales have already begun.
The box tray from Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda can also be used as a stand. If you turn off the console’s automatic sleep mode, it remains active even when you are not pressing any buttons and can function as a desk clock.
Recall that the Game & Watch series was produced from 1980 to 1991. At one time, Game & Watch became Nintendo’s first handheld video game console. In the USSR, the clones of Nintendo Game & Watch under the Electronics brand were well known – Mickey Mouse, Well, Wait!, Hunt, Ocean Secrets and Merry Cook.
