Nintendo opens museum in Japan with interactive attractions; see photos

Famous Japanese electronic games company, Nintendo opens its first museum in the city of Uji, close to the company’s headquarters in Kyoto, in Japan this Wednesday (2). To enter, individual tickets cost 3,300 yen (R$ 122) for adults, with tickets for teenagers and children being worth 2,200 yen (R$ 81) and 1,100 yen (R$ 40), respectively. See the images above.

In the museum, Nintendo highlights the company’s evolution since its founding in 1889, in three main buildings, according to information from CNN Travel . With a series of interactive games, exhibitions and even workshops, the public receives, upon entry, ten tickets to access the attractions. You can buy more credentials to enjoy as many programs as you want.

When it comes to museum games, visitors can start by using a smart device to read poems and accumulate points on the Shigureden SP . This cultural game proposes that the public look for a card that has the second half of the work and then collect the card with the technological equipment.

Another game is Zapper & Scope SP in which the public needs to aim, hit and fight enemies with toy weapons offered at the museum. By taking down iconic characters, such as Goombas, Koopa Troopas and Chain Chomps, the visitor accumulates points.

Nintendo also reproduced the company’s famous throwing device, the Ultra Machine in the attraction that bears the same name. Set in an old room, with various objects, the visitor’s role is to hit the balls thrown in sequence and avoid items in the environment.

The attraction Ultra Hand SP on the other hand, proposes that the player uses a device to catch moving balls and place them in a pipe. In addition to these attractions, visitors can have fun with a reproduction of the old portable console Game & Watch SP and, in other games, play with the company’s classic titles.

Another attraction of the museum, according to CNN Travel is the area known as “Discover”, which consists of a giant exhibition — spread across an equally large hall — with various Nintendo products, from rare devices to prototypes that were not released.

There are still workshops to assemble, create and play your own Hanafuda deck which Nintendo manufactured at its founding, 135 years ago. The Nintendo museum also has a themed restaurant, whose main dishes are hamburgers, and a store selling its own and original products.
