The latest data from VGChartz shows that Nintendo Switch sold over 350,000 units for the week ending March 27, 2022. This weekly Switch was better than Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
In total, 106.21 million Nintendo Switch units have been sold worldwide so far, far more than the PlayStation 5 (18.66 million consoles) and Xbox Series X|S (13.66 million units). The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the predecessors of the PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X|S respectively, are the next two most popular consoles in terms of sales.

Nintendo Switch is a popular gaming console introduced in 2017. Its compact and portable configuration allows it to be used as a portable gaming tablet or used as a home console. Its versatility attracts several segments of the gaming market and it is a major factor in its huge sales.
Prices and number of games can also be another important factor in the popularity of the Nintendo Switch. Global shipments are expected to peak soon, but analysts believe the Xbox Series X or PS5 will come close in Switch’s lifetime sales.
