With a view to future electric vehicle-based energy management, the Japanese company is also involved in various test fields, in the direction of developing partnerships with energy companies – all of which, when the company plans to become carbon neutral, throughout its product life cycle by 2050. Nissan is already developing a business model that uses electricity from renewable energy sources, utilizing at the same time the storage possibilities of the high capacity batteries from the EVs that it manufactures.
