No avid gamer will be able to miss any of these 10 games in 2023. Especially the 3rd

For quite a long time, a real stagnation could be observed in the video game market – video cards did not reach gamers, and new-generation consoles could only be seen on pictures on the Internet. Now the situation has changed dramatically (unfortunately, this did not affect consoles), so we can safely assume that major publishers will bombard the audience next year with AAA releases with cool graphics, various innovations in terms of gameplay and more. From this sea of novelties, I have selected ten of the best, which a self-respecting gamer simply cannot pass by.

Alan Wake 2

The second number part, unlike the original, focuses on survival in the conditions of horror – the developers promise less action and more emotional pressure on the player. At the same time, fantastic mechanics like the ability to change the course of time and rewrite history have not gone away, the main characters are also in their places, but you don’t need to go through the first part in order to comfortably play Alan Wake 2. The development team decided to take the best of the original story, but transform some of the most groundbreaking games of its time so that even now the franchise inspires shock and awe.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Over the years, fans have lamented that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has become a boring RPG with repetitive quests, grinding, level farming, annoying in-app purchases, and other unpleasant elements of the modern video game world. Apparently, Ubisoft decided to listen to the fans – Mirage will return the cult series to its previous course, giving excellent stealth missions, an advanced combat system, parkour, exciting (and slightly historically accurate) tasks, an interesting storyline and a secretive killer in the famous hoodie with a hood. Does Ubisoft still remember how to make good games?

Diablo IV

Blizzard has been parasitizing on the legendary Diablo III for a long time, but now it’s time to release something new – the audience is asking. The answer to the wishes of the fans will be Diablo IV, which promises an incredible level of character development and the virtual world, the ability to fight alone or with friends in the dungeons. As well as whole mountains of various loot, unique character classes, an amazing storyline, vibrant graphics and everything that fans adored the previous numbered part for. And after the strange release of the mobile Diablo Immortal, the publisher would do well to make amends to gamers from all over the world.

Dune Spice Wars

The fictional world of “Dune” is so beautiful that you don’t even need to invent anything – just take descriptions from books, transfer them to the screen and it turns out better than anyone else. This is exactly what the authors of Dune: Spice Wars did – they took the fictional world rich in races, technologies and stories as a basis, “pulled” it onto the skeleton of a strategy, and then twisted various cool mechanics that will draw the gamer in from the first second. And given that there are actually quite a few good strategies lately, this project may well take its place on the podium of the best of the best of all time.

Forspoken

Yesterday you walked the streets of New York, and today you are climbing a huge rock in a fictional world, fighting crazy monsters the size of a five-story building, and throwing magic spells all around? Yes, Square Enix knows how to create something extraordinary. The developers have invested insane resources into the development of the virtual world, which allows you to move freely, explore biomes and enemies, complete all kinds of tasks, discover new possibilities for the main character, and more. The scale of the project is really impressive, and right after the first trailer, the game was dubbed one of the most anticipated of the year.

Forza Motorsport 8

Very little information is known about the eighth numbered part of Forza Motorsport – the developers have only confirmed that the game will receive breakthrough graphics and physics. They promise ray tracing, thanks to which the cars will be reflected even in the body of a neighboring vehicle, modern lighting and shadows, a detailed study of each model of a racing car and tracks up to a centimeter. And while many may think that there is no competition in the competitive racing simulator market, in fact it is more than impressive there – Microsoft will have to work hard to lure fans of this sport.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Back in the day, Marvel’s Spider-Man took Spider-Man games to a whole new level. Literally everything was perfect in it – a non-standard storyline, cool web travel physics, a multifaceted combat system, the absence of donations and DLCs that I wanted to buy. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be all the same, only with even more modern graphics, a large set of fan service, a ton of familiar characters from movies and comics, and a lot of gameplay innovations. The developers just took the perfect game and made it a little better – how could you ask for more?

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Apparently, Capcom found a real gold mine – the publisher realized that you can take cult horrors, remake them on a modern engine and then collect laudatory reviews. So it was with Resident Evil 2 and 3, and now it’s time to conquer the audience with another re-release of the masterpiece. The developers promise to remake the controls for a more convenient one, impress everyone with excellent graphics and, of course, give thrill fans the emotions for which they play horror games. And there is no doubt about this, because over the past many years the publisher has never disappointed fans of the genre, and Resident Evil 2 in the remake format is considered the best game in the entire franchise.

Starfield

Imagine Skyrim, only on a cosmic scale, with modern graphics, a huge budget, and a grown-up Bethesda team under the wing of Microsoft. Sounds good, right? The project promises a hardcore role-playing system, a huge number of different quests, character parameters, characters’ backstories, and, last but not least, opportunities for traveling through outer space without barriers and restrictions. There is a feeling that this will be the best space role-playing game in the history of video games, which will be played and replayed dozens of times, opening more and more new points of interest.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

In Fallen Order, EA wards showed that Star Wars games are the most alive – the project turned out to be very colorful, full of lightsaber fights and puzzles for every taste and color. Survivor has it all too – the game is a full-fledged continuation of the original, the main character is still fighting against the Empire, remaining one of the last Jedi, and the developers promise us a lot of familiar characters, new locations, more special effects and formidable opponents. For fans of the franchise, this is a real breath of fresh air, especially after the last movie trilogy, which you want to forget.
