‘No’ by N. Filis in the proposals Al. Tsipra – Tips for P. Kammenos, P. Polakis and ‘fake voices’ for vaccines

Nikos Filis invited the delegates to reject the proposal of Alexis Tsipras for election of president and Central Committee by the members of the party, in his speech at the 3rd congress of the party.

Besides, Umbrella is expected to table an amendment with its own proposal against the suggestion of Alexis Tsipras.

Nikos Filis, however, speaking about the need for SYRIZA self-criticism for the actions of his government, referred to “Kammenos’ innocence” while he made a special reference to the Pandemic, with points against P. Polakis, without naming him, referring to “false voices” against vaccines.

Earlier, P. Polakis had attacked A. Xanthos and Gr Gerotziafa for SYRIZA’s stance in favor of the one-way vaccine, during the thematic discussion organized by the party in the context of the Health conference (HERE IS THE LINK FOR POLAKI – XANTHO)

From the podium of the third conference, Nikos Filis said, among other things:

In order to gain a new relationship of trust with society, we must speak clearly about the compulsions of the memorandum. The conference is the place for the necessary self-criticism. It is not only the coercions that Mr. Tsipras hinted at yesterday, but also the ones that we did not do or tolerated despite our commitments. I am talking, for example, about the State-Church relations, about the media and ERT, the excavations, the East Med, the innocence of Kamenos and others, along with attitudes that have affected the moral advantage of the Left.

we would be even more effective if there were no false voices on the issue of vaccines, which the most failed government in Europe tried to exploit in dealing with the pandemic.

Let me also say that the disappearance of the Refugee and the criminal deportations in the Aegean and the Evros from the central political speech of our President are problematic. The struggles of refugees for a better life have a place in the synaxary of our struggles and heroes

The democratic radicalism of the Left, we do not abandon it to chase the chimera of an undefined center, which is even compressed in times of crisis. Do not integrate into the regularity of the crisis, the over-armaments of RAFALE and F35, the privatizations even of our own Memorandum, the investments like Elliniko or Fraport, the outdated political standards of the old bipartisanship.

How much has the change that has been launched since the night of the elections contributed to the strengthening of our political dynamics? How much did the appointed bodies or the abolition of the SYRIZA Central Committee contribute? Did the questioning of the need for the DAWN and the Red help or hurt us? Why has the rapid deterioration of ND not yet created a strong current of victory in favor of SYRIZA? Will we achieve this by copying the procedures of the systemic parties for the election of a leader?

I have publicly and repeatedly stated my view: At a time when political controversy is increasingly characterized by the clash of political ideologies and strong identities, we must not opt for de-ideology and invertebrate identity. Both the Left and society will pay for it. In such a perspective, our Congress has a historic duty to say a resounding NO!
