No confirmed deaths at attack site in Lviv, officials say

So far, there have been no deaths at the first site of the missile attacks in Lviv, Maksym Kozytsky, head of the city’s regional military administration, told a news conference on Saturday.

According to Kozytsky, two sites were hit: a fuel storage facility and a military infrastructure facility. Each location has been hit by two attacks and both are located in residential neighborhoods.

Five people at the fuel storage site need medical care, he said.

“There are no casualties at the first location, and at the second location we are still trying to put out the fire,” Kozytsky said.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said, “This is the second attack in a week, and we can clearly see that these were very targeted attacks on infrastructure and the destruction is serious.” “The shock of the explosion also damaged two schools, one children’s school, and fortunately there are no casualties.”

“We have some wounded, and I believe this is how the attacker is saying ‘hi’ to President Biden, who is in Poland now,” the mayor said. “We know that Lviv is only 70 kilometers from Poland, so everyone needs to understand that the threat is serious.”
