Released in 2022, “No! Don’t Look!” entered the Prime Video catalog this Monday (8). The production is the most recent title by the North American filmmaker Jordan Peele known for his works “Run!” (2017) and “Us” (2019).
In the plot, OJ and Emerald Haywood are two brothers who inherited a ranch in California dedicated to raising “acting” horses after the mysterious death of their father. Ricky “Jupe” Park is their neighbor who, from time to time, acquires some horses for a special show shown at his theme park.
All of these characters experience increasingly strange events in their small community, such as sudden power outages and inanimate objects falling from the sky. Keen to capture anything that seems out of the ordinary on video, the Haywood brothers hire the services of Angel Torres, who sets up some cameras and sees a mysterious force affecting human and animal behavior.
The production stars Daniel Kaluuya (“Get Out!” and “Judas and the Black Messiah”), Keke Palmer (“True Jackson” and “Jump In!”), Steven Yeun (“Treta” and “Minari: In Search of Happiness”) and Michael Wincott (“The Raven” and “The Return of John Henry”).
