No money for the movies? São Paulo International Festival has free programming

The 46th edition of the traditional International Film Festival from Sao Paulo starts this Thursday (20) and has a free program, in addition to screenings in movie theaters. The event runs until the 2nd of November.

MASP’s Vai Livre, on Avenida Paulista, will screen two new Brazilian films and the digital platforms Sesc Digital and Spcine Play will make 15 titles available online.

Virtual reality returns to the Exhibition in five different spaces, where short films with the new steps of this language will be presented for free.

Between October 20 and November 2, the International Film Festival from Sao Paulo will screen 223 productions from 60 countries in movie theaters, online and in open spaces in the capital of São Paulo.

Performances begin at 7:30pm, with tickets available for pickup from 6:30pm. The space has a capacity for 500 people.

Virtual reality

Programming brings a new panorama of recent production of titles in virtual reality, with short films that present the new steps of this language. Look here what are the productions. Following are the hours:

  • October 21, from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm: Session at CEU Turkeys (Street Bernardo José de Lorena S/N)
  • October 25, from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm: Session at the HEAVEN Boys (Rua Barbinos, 111- São João Clímaco)
  • October 26th to November 2nd, from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm (except on 10/30): Session at Sesc 24th of May (Twenty-fourth of May Street, 109)
