No progress towards EU deal to ban Russian oil imports – WSJ

There was no progress on Wednesday towards an agreement on an embargo on Russian oil imports. after a meeting of ambassadors from the 27 nations of the European Union, a Wall Street Journal reporter wrote on Twitter. According to the journalist, some are beginning to think that a summit with the 27 leaders will be needed to reach an agreement on this.

Hungary has been the main opponent of an embargo on Russian oil and previous reports suggest the EU may be considering giving financial compensation to the country.
