No radioactivity leak from drone attack on Kursk Nuclear Power Station

A drone raid caused a fire, which was extinguished after a while, in auxiliary transformer and led to reduce the productive capacity of one of the reactors at the Nuclear Power Station in Russia’s Kursk Region, announced in the early morning hours today. “Unmanned UAV (UAV) Battle of Ukraine Armed Forces was shot down by anti -aircraft defense systems near Kursk’s nuclear power plant,” the source explained via a Telegram. During his crash “the drone exploded, resulting in a damage to auxiliary transformer,” he continued. The press office assured that no injuries were reported, but due to the attack the reactor number 3 of the installation reduced production to 50% of the capacity. The damaged unmanned aerial vehicle also caused a fire, which was extinguished, always according to the same source.
