“No” to abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy, says Florida, with the “deputy” of the House of Representatives

In favor of the bill which prohibits abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy, the Florida House of Representatives convened on Wednesday night (17/2).

This is a measure that many Republican states want to adopt as the Supreme Court examines the constitutionality of these limits.

Her Senate Floridaas Republican Gov. Ron de Sandis is expected to pass the bill, which would significantly restrict access to abortion for women across the southeastern United States, as many went to Florida to terminate their pregnancies because of the stricter laws in force in their own states.

Republican lawmakers across the United States have passed bills banning abortions after 15 weeksa law first passed by the state of Mississippi in 2018 and is being considered by the Supreme Court, after lower courts ruled it unconstitutional.

The Arizona Senate and the House of Representatives of West Virginia, as reported by the Athens News Agency, approved similar bills on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court has hinted that it intends to allow Mississippi law, although it contradicts its iconic 1973 ruling in Rowe v. Wade, under which The right of women to abortion before the fetus is viable, usually around 24 weeks, was guaranteed in the US.

Under Florida law, an exception to the 15-week rule may exist if the mother’s life or health is endangered or if the fetus has a deformity that makes it unsustainable.

Exceptions for rape or incest are not included.
