The largest cryptocurrency exchange of Iran Nobitex announced a phased renewal of work after a hacker attack by $ 90 million. The restoration of the exchange will begin on June 25.

According to Nobitex representatives, the site must earn on June 30. At this point, problems with access to the data centers and unstable Internet in the country should be resolved.

Nobitex was responsible for the hacking of the Haranjeshke Darande hackers, who called the Iranian site “A tool for bypassing international financial sanctions”. Hackers accused the platform of close ties with the Iranian government and law enforcement agencies.

According to the experts of the American company Chainalysis, the hackers attack caused serious damage to the cryptocurrency infrastructure of Iran, since it was Nobitex that dominates the domestic market.

According to analysts, the exchange served not only retail traders and investors, but also people who sought to circumvent American and European sanctions. Chainanalisys associate nobitex with translations in favor of structures affiliated with Russian exchanges of Bitpapa and Garantex.

Previously, Gonjeshke Darande hackers published in the public domain the source code of Nobitex, including critical systemic files and configurations.
