Adam Brody 44, and Kristen Bell 44, are the protagonists of the new Netflix series, “Nobody Wants” which debuted in September. In the early 2000s, the two actors were stars of two hit series at the time, “OC: Stranger in Paradise” and “Veronica Mars: The Young Spy” respectively.
Furthermore, the two have one more connection in common: “Gossip Girl” . While Bell voiced the girl on the blog during the six seasons, Brody married one of the protagonists of the plot, Leighton Meester (Blair).
In “Nobody Wants” Bell is Joanne, an agnostic podcast host, and Brody is Noah, an unconventional rabbi who has just ended a relationship.
They meet at a party, leave together and, despite their differences, realize that they can get along very well, but also very badly, because each one has a different way of looking at life.
Names like Justine Lupe (“The Machine of Destiny”) and Timothy Simons (“Veep”) also make up the cast.
