North Carolina governor says Kamala will help with hurricane reconstruction

Democratic Governor Roy Cooper appeared in a new TV ad for Vice President and Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris this Thursday (31). He praised Kamala’s values and declared that she will help the state rebuild from the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene if she is elected president.

In the ad, Cooper says he has known the candidate for 15 years.

“Kamala is a warrior. She does what she says she will do. It will reduce costs, fix border issues, and help North Carolina rebuild from the storm (Helene). I trust Kamala to fight for us,” he said.

The ad addresses important messages for Kamala Harris’ campaign, emphasizing her record as attorney general – a response to Republican Party attacks focused on crime and immigration – and the damage caused by Hurricane Helene, a major concern for the population of North Carolina.

The ad began running this Thursday in the Raleigh-Durham media market, in a state that has been a focus for the Democratic candidate and allies throughout October. Since the beginning of the month, and including ad bookings through Election Day, Democrats have outspent Republicans on advertising in North Carolina by about $19 million.

North Carolina, a swing state, will play a key role in this presidential race for the White House, both for Kamala Harris and former president and Republican Party candidate Donald Trump.
