On launch two cruise missiles on Wednesday (17/8) the People’s Republic of Greece advanced in a western direction North Korea as reported by the South Korean national news agency Yonhap citing a img close to the armed forces of South Korea.
The test, as reported by the Athens News Agency, was recorded on the day that the new conservative president Yoon Seok-gil completes one hundred days in power in South Korea.
“North Korea launched two cruise missiles in the direction of the Yellow Sea from Onchon, South Pyongan province,” a img close to the South Korean defense ministry told AFP.
“US and South Korean military authorities are analyzing details such as the distance of the flight,” he added.
North Korea had been testing such missiles since January, South Korea’s national Yonhap news agency said.
The development of such weapons is not, however, prohibited by virtue of resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, which has imposed a series of severe economic sanctions on North Korea in response to the development of ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons by its government.
Pyongyang’s most recent weapons test took place on July 10. It was a multiple rocket launch system.
North Korea has carried out a series of weapons tests since January, some of which violated sanctions imposed on it, notably that of an intercontinental ballistic missile, for the first time since 2017.
Seoul and Washington believe that Pyongyang is preparing to conduct its seventh nuclear test soon.
At the beginning of the week, preliminary joint high schools of the armed forces of South Korea and the US began. These exercises anger North Korea, which sees them as a rehearsal for an invasion.
