THE North Korean leader Kim Jong Un asked the country’s military to intensify high schools of in order to be able to prevent and respond to “real war”if deemed necessary, during a missile launch exercise he attended with his daughter, the KCNA news agency reported today.

Besides, as the Athens News Agency writes, the North Korean leader, who oversaw new military high schools, asked the soldiers to prepare “for two strategic missions: first to prevent war and second to take the initiative of war.”
Images broadcast today by KCNA showed the simultaneous launch of six missiles of the Hwasong unitwhich is trained for “strike missions,” the agency said, adding that the unit “launched a powerful salvo of missiles” and demonstrated its ability to “deal with a real war in the waters of the West Korean Sea.”
On Thursday, the South Korean military said it had observed the launch of a short-range ballistic missile into the sea off North Korea’s western coast. The missile was launched from the city of Nabo, south of Pyongyang.
Starting Monday, March 13, South Korea and the US will hold the largest joint military exercises in 5 years.
For his part, on Friday, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said his country would increase joint military high schools with the US in a speech to graduates of the Naval Academy, stressing that the situation on the Korean peninsula is ” more serious than ever.”
Earlier this week Kim Jong Un’s sister accused the US of “deliberately” stoking tension between the two Koreas and warned that Pyongyang would consider any interception of its missiles by Washington a “declaration of war”.
