Northern Macedonia will honor Nikos Kotzias on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Kotzias, is included among the 30 personalities that its Foreign Minister Northern Macedonia and Minister Bouyar Osmani decided to celebrate, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country’s declaration of independence in 1991.

“This year, the Republic of Northern Macedonia celebrates the 30th anniversary of its independence, declared in 1991. On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, decided to award distinctions to 30 senior senior EU and NATO diplomats, politicians, and experts, experts in the country and the region. “By doing so, we are making a symbolic recognition of their contribution to consolidating their independence, supporting and assisting in the completion of our Euro-Atlantic perspective, as well as in strengthening the multiethnic and multicultural cohesion of our country and society.” in a relevant announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia.

Among the thirty foreign personalities to whom Northern Macedonia will award distinctions are the former Prime Minister of Italy and President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, the former Secretary General. NATO Secretary-General George Robertson, former High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana, UN High Commissioner for Refugees Matthew Nimetz, former Secretary of State John Kerry and US Secretary of State John Kerry former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Kotzias.
