The Norway’s government today announced that it plans to randomly choose 100,000 new 20-35-year-old workers, who will have a tax reduction of up to 2,380 euros a year for some years, in order to study the influence on income and employment. Due to increasing benefits and lack of workforce in some areas, Norwegian governments have been studying for several years to stimulate the labor market, modifying the rules of economic relief and improving vocational training. However, the proposal made today by Finance Minister Yen Stoltenberg and Labor Minister Tonie Brenna is going a step further, offering a tax reduction of about 8% of employees aged 20-35.
