Three health professionals who recently did it AstraZeneca vaccine for Covid-19 in Norway are treated with thrombosis, announced the Norwegian Institute of Public Health today.
THE Norway suspended vaccinations with the AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday, following the example of Denmark, followed by the suspension of Iceland.
“We do not know if these cases are related to the vaccine,” Dr Sigurd Hortemo told a news conference. He added that the issue would be investigated by the European Medicines Agency (Coreper).
All three patients are under 50 years of age.
On Thursday, however, Coreper assured that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks and that it should continue.
