O OUR gastrobar located in Ipanema, in Rio de Janeiro will complete six years in 2023. To celebrate the date, the venue invited Madrid bar Salmon Guru, ranked 15th in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 for a special night next Sunday (2), from 19h.
The purpose of the event, which was nicknamed “La Invasion”, in honor of the language of the guests, is to exchange flavors and techniques that will result in eight unique drinks – one of which is a gift from the Spanish bar to the Brazilian
Salmon Guro is known for its quirky cocktails and different atmosphere. In Rio, he will be represented by honey from Conceição bar director, and the bartender David Paczkowski . On the Rio side, there will be NOSSO’s head bartender, Daniel Estevan current champion of the Campari Bartender Competition and representative of Brazil in the brand’s global actions.
Among the international creations are the Ultramarino, with Bombay Sapphire gin, mezcal, manzanilla sherry and rhubarb cordial (submerged in sea water); Samba Nº 5, which has Bombay Bramble gin, tangerine liqueur, vanilla, grapefruit, soda and egg white; Fresh Wind, made with Gray Goose vodka, mint, yuzu, kefir and rice vinegar; and Viva Brasil, with Bombay Sapphire gin, cardamom, cinnamon, lime, cucumber and ginger beer.
The drinks at the host bar will be the Balangadã Martini, with Bombay Sapphire gin, St. Germain, French aperitif and orange bitters; the Kimchi Milk Punch, with 12 year old Dewars whiskey, kimchi, lemon, sugar syrup, bitters and oyster saline solution; and the Umami and Amargo, with Bombay Sapphire gin, vermouth rosso and bitter (infused with shitake sautéed in truffle oil).
The cocktails created for the event will cost R$38, and the menu, created by the chef and partner Bruno Katz will be available on occasion, with options for snacks and dinner.
On the night in question, NOSSO will operate with reservations only for the mezzanine, until 7:30 pm, which must be made in this link.
