Reports that the cars of the Chinese company Chery can begin to be assembled at UAZ have found confirmation in real life.

The autopron Telegram channel published mysterious photos of the UAZ conveyor, which drew the attention of the Autonews of the Day resource, which identified the body of the Chery Tiggo 8 crossover.

It is noted that the body shown in the photo has already been primed, but not yet painted. Presumably, all this testifies to ongoing technological tests, which are before the possible start of production of Chery cars in Ulyanovsk.

Earlier, the press service of Sollers Group itself reported on the negotiations between the automotive company Sollers Group and Chinese Chery regarding the joint production of cars in February. And last year, Chery confirmed that it was considering the possibility of localizing electric vehicles in the Russian Federation and was negotiating with various factories.
