“Not quite Chinese” MIUI 12.5 has appeared for many global smartphones Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco

Xiaomi is still testing its proprietary MIUI 12.5 shell in China, and preparations are still underway to launch the testing program for the global version of MIUI 12.5. However, there is now a way to get to know MIUI 12.5 without the hassle outside of China.

Note that the Chinese MIUI firmware is not intended for use on models for the international market. The Chinese version offers only Chinese and English, is devoid of Google applications and services, and is overloaded with Chinese services that are useless for residents of other regions. Now the team of the unofficial portal Xiaomi.EU has translated the Chinese firmware into additional languages, added Google apps and services, and removed unnecessary Chinese services. MIUI 12.5 firmware is available for the following models:

  • Xiaomi Mi 11
  • Xiaomi Mi 10
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro / Redmi K30S
  • Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite / Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G
  • Xiaomi Mi 9
  • Xiaomi Mi Pro 5G
  • Xiaomi Mi 9T / Redmi K20
  • Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro / Redmi K20 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi CC9e
  • Redmi K30 / Poco X2
  • Redmi K30 5G
  • Redmi K30i 5G
  • Redmi K30 Pro / Poco F2 Pro
  • Redmi 9T / Redmi Note 9 4G
  • Redmi Note 8

All of them are based on the Android 11 operating system. Of course, you can install such firmware on your smartphones only at your own peril and risk, knowing well what you are doing.

As stated in the description of the Xiaomi Europe website, since 2010 the community has been working on projects to translate applications and fix errors for the MIUI global firmware.
