The first smartphone based on the Snapdragon 898 SoC to be certified by the Chinese regulator and approved for Internet access is the Nubia Red Magic 7.
Nubia has reportedly been in close contact with Qualcomm lately. Both companies have worked together to release this smartphone. Sources now believe that the Nubia Red Magic 7 will be the first smartphone on the market to be powered by the Snapdragon 898.
Considering that Redmi Magic 6 was only presented in March this year, it could be assumed that Redmi Magic 7 will also hit the market early next year. However, sources say that the manufacturer has changed the release schedule for its smartphones, so the new product will be released much earlier.
According to previously published information, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 mobile platform will be manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm process technology. It will use a three-cluster architecture: a large Cortex-X2 core operates at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores operate at 2.5 GHz, and four small Cortex-A510 cores at 1.79 GHz.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 platform has already been tested in the Geekbench benchmark application and scored around 1200 points in single-threaded mode, and when using all cores, the result was around 3900 points.
Recently, it was rumored that Lenovo might be the first to launch a Moto flagship on this platform.
