Along with the announcement of the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21337 release, Microsoft today also announced that Notepad can now be updated via the Microsoft Store without installing a new version of the operating system. Additionally, Microsoft will remove it from the Windows Accessories folder in the Start menu. Instead, Notepad will appear as a separate application. Microsoft also unveiled its new icon.
Thanks to the new location in the Start menu, it will be easier for the user to access Notepad, and the ability to update it via the built-in app store will allow you to always have the latest version of the program on board.
