On May 4, Great Britain expanded sanctions against Russia by adding Baikal Electronics, the developer of Russian Baikal processors, to them. Naturally, there was an opinion that under such conditions, the production of processors could stop. However, Baikal Electronics believes that the UK sanctions will not affect the company’s activities in any way, and the developers will be fully loaded for the next year and a half.

“The next portion of sanctions at the moment does not affect the overall picture and does not change the situation. In November-December 2021, Baikal Electronics received everything necessary for IP development. At the moment, work on the Baikal-L and Baikal-S2 projects is proceeding according to the schedule, the developers are loaded for at least the next year and a half.”– said Andrey Evdokimov, CEO of the company.
He noted that the main task that needs to be addressed in the current situation is to provide access to modern production facilities. “After that, everything else will also be decided”– added Evdokimov.
