Notorious Fish: fish and seafood in a relaxed way in Pinheiros

O Notorious Fish was born during the pandemic, in 2020, focused on delivery, and quickly gained a legion of fans thanks to its Choripolvo (R$65), a sandwich that comes with a French baguette stuffed with grilled octopus tentacle, chimichurri and aïoli, or The Notorious Filet'O'Fish (R$33), a sandwich of wild Alaska pollock breaded in panko breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese and tartar sauce on egg bread.

Now, after more than 100,000 orders delivered, partners Alan Finguerman, Rodrigo Sanovicz and Pedro Barreto felt it was time to open a physical location to welcome their customers and expand the menu.

Choripolvo

The chosen spot was in the hustle and bustle of Baixo Pinheiros, in a comfortable house on Rua Padre Carvalho, parallel to the gastronomic Ferreira de Araújo. A terrace covered with transparent glass welcomes customers, followed by a bar and colorful lounge, with a relaxed atmosphere and an open kitchen, where you can watch small portions and sandwiches being prepared.

The menu's proposal is precisely to bring seafood and fish without frills, like in a bar in a beach town to have a snack with friends or devour a quick fish sandwich at lunchtime.

Among the sandwiches, in addition to the two mentioned above that are the best sellers, the Siri Burger (R$ 35), made on brioche bread with Mil island sauce, lettuce, tomato, melted cheddar cheese and the crab burger with herbs breaded in panko flour, as well as the Tuna Sandwich (R$35), a sealed tuna sandwich, lettuce, tomato and Thousand Island sauce on whole-grain ciabatta are good options.

Among the novelties of the new restaurant are the Lobster Roll (R$88), produced in limited units, on buttered potato bread, with a filling of lobster cooked in butter, onion and lemon zest, and the Tuna Burger (R$42) , broiler-grilled tuna burger with ponzu mayo, on a brioche bun, with a side dish of your choice: lettuce, tomato, onion or cheese.

Among the raw items, Shrimp Cocktail (R$55), cooked pink shrimp served in a glass with ice accompanied by Mil Ilhas sauce; Lilax on the plate (R$45), which brings together cured salmon (with beetroot, ginger, vodka and brown sugar), water bread, cream cheese, dill, capers and red onion, and Fresh Oysters directly from the south of the country (R R$24 for a double, R$66 for a half dozen and R$126 for a dozen), served on ice accompanied by ponzu sauce, mignonette and lemon.
