The Proclamation of the Republic holiday in Brazil this Friday (15th) will change the functioning of state public services. Service channels, transport services, health and cultural centers will have different regimes. Find out what changes this holiday .
State hospitals in São Paulo will maintain urgent and emergency care 24 hours a day, including emergency rooms, hospitalizations and surgical centers. The Pró-Sangue Osasco, Dante and Barueri donation stations will be closed on the 15th. The Clínicas and Mandaqui stations will be open from 8am to 4pm. The Dose Certa Pharmacy, Specialized Medicines Pharmacies (FME) and Dispensing Units (DU) units will be closed. All Specialty Medical Outpatient Clinics (AMEs) will not open on the holiday.
Poupatempo units will be closed on November 15th. In-person service will resume on the 16th, by prior appointment. During the holiday, it is possible to access various online services through the Poupatempo portal, app, totems and WhatsApp. These channels offer various services such as driver’s license renewal, licensing, IPVA consultation and much more.
Companies linked to the Metropolitan Transport Secretariat will have changes to their schedule during the holiday. At CPTM, the company that operates the railway lines in São Paulo, there will be an increase between the average train intervals, following the pattern adopted on Sundays. On Saturday (16), there will be normal operations. The same rule will be adopted by intercity buses managed by EMTU.
In the Metro, Line 15-Silver will have different operations on Friday (15) for testing the signaling and train control system. All stations on this line will be closed from 4:40 am to 1 pm. Buses from the Paese system (Support Plan between Companies in Emergency) will be made available to serve passengers along the entire route of the line, between Vila Prudente and Jardim Colonial stations.
During the long holiday, 30 Bom Prato units will be open to serve the population. However, some units will undergo maintenance: Bauru, Cotia (on Sunday), Franca, Guarulhos, Limão, Santo Amaro, Santo André I (Sunday), São José dos Campos and Jacareí (Sunday).
The operation of Urban Parks, managed by the Secretariat of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics of the State of São Paulo, will also be different. To check the schedule and time, just access the report made available by the Secretariat .
Several services of the Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (SEDPcD) will have their operations changed. The Jardim Humaitá unit and the 17 units of the Inclusive Employability Program (PEI) will be closed. The 5 Technical Support Centers (CATs) located in police stations will also not be open. All SEDPcD services will return to their normal activities on Monday Friday (18).
The State Secretariat for Culture, Economy and Creative Industry announced the opening hours of its equipment this Friday (15). Check it out:
- São Paulo Library (BSP) and Parque Villa-Lobos Library (BVL): Open from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm
- Latin America Memorial: Open from 10am to 5pm (except the library, which will be closed)
- Circus World: Closed
- Casa das Rosas, Casa Guilherme de Almeida and Casa Mário de Andrade: Open from 10am to 5:30pm (stay until 6pm)
- Emanoel Araújo Afro Museum: Open from 10am to 5pm. On the day there will also be Ocupa MAB, which will remain until 9pm in the museum’s marquee.
- São Paulo Resistance Memorial: Open from 10am to 6pm
- Museum of Image and Sound (MIS) and MIS Experience: Open from 10am to 6pm

- Coffee Museum: Open from 9am to 6pm (entry allowed until 5pm)

- Felícia Leirner Museum and Claudio Santoro Auditorium: Open from 9am to 6pm
- India Vanuíre Museum: Open from 9am to 6pm

- SP Theater School: Open 24 hours, on account of the Satyrianas Festival
