New home sales in the United States fell 11% last November, notably worsening the expected 0.3% decline. In October, the drop in the indicator has been revised to 2.1% from the 0.3% decrease announced a month ago.
November is the second consecutive monthly drop for the indicator, and its biggest setback since last March, when the coronavirus pandemic broke out in the United States.
In total, new home sales in November stood at 841.000, well below the previous 945,000 and the estimated 995,000.
