Novoossiisk declares a state of emergency after Ukrainian attack in Porto

The mayor of the port city of Novossisk, Russia, declared a state of emergency on Saturday (3), after local authorities claim that a Ukrainian drone attack damaged a grain terminal and several residential buildings, injuring five people.

There were no immediate comments from Ukraine, whose Air Force said Russia attacked her at night with 183 drones and two ballistic missiles.

Andrei Kravchenko, mayor of the Russian city of Novossisk, in the Black Sea, was seen inspecting damage to three apartment buildings in a video released on his official Telegram account.

The video showed wreckage scattered in front of the buildings, a crumpled car, windows and balconies torn from the facade of the buildings.

Kravchenko said one of the wounded people, a woman, was hospitalized in serious condition. Two children were also injured, local authorities said.

The governor of the Krasnodar region of southern Russia, Veniamin Kondratyev, said wreckage of the drone fall have also damaged three storage units in a grain terminal in Novossissk, causing a fire.

No one was injured in the incident, he said.

Delo Group, owner of the damaged grain terminal, reported in a statement that the cleaning was underway and that the fire had been contained.

“Deloport terminals are operating normally, according to internal instructions and instructions from the competent authorities and agencies,” the company said.
